Oslo Jazzzfestival is the longest consecutive music festival in Norway and in 2016 it celebrates being 30 years.
Here are some of my photos from the first night of the 2016 Oslo Jazzfestival.

Chestnut, Williams & White
Next out, and first concert this festival at Victoria Teater National Jazz Scene, was Cyrus Chestnut, Buster Williams & Lenny White.
The American super trio have coorperated since 2015. Recently they released the album, ”Natural Essence”.
Chestnut is said to enjoy mixing styles and resists being typecast in any one niche. The trio played silk smooth piano jazz, mixing tunes from Miles Davis with classical music like Chopin.
In 2006 music critic for Time Magazine, Josh Tyrangiel, wrote: "What makes Chestnut the best jazz pianist of his generation is a willingness to abandon notes and play space."
Cyrus Chestnut (piano)
Buster Williams (double bass)
Lenny White (drums)
